Try One of Our Workshops!
Writing Center workshops are
free
events are opportunities for you to learn a host of new strategies
to help you with a particular topic. Workshops will be led by a team
of faculty and student writing consultants, so you'll get both
perspectives.
Fall 2009
Where the Journey
Begins: Prewriting
Wednesday, November 11
Noon-1:00 PM, Library Classroom
Presenters: Robin Meade, Ashley Michalski,
Tony Stafford. This session will be a lively, interactive
workshop on prewriting hosted by our staff. Their goal is to help
you utilize a number of writing strategies so that you find and
develop a topic--and potentially, plan a draft. If you've got a
writing project due soon, bring the assignment!
Spring 2010
MLA, APA
Time and Date TBA
This practical session will focus on both MLA
(especially the revised standards) and APA.
Resume and Cover Letter Writing
Time and Date TBA
This session will be a workshop on resume and
cover letter writing. It will also cover tips on responding to
requests for writing samples.
